Bhavesh Patel

Chief Digital Officer

Bhavesh Patel is currently the Chief Digital Officer at beIN Media Group based in Paris. He is working on building their next generation global OTT platform and driving innovation across the group. Prior, Bhavesh was an OTT strategy advisor for CBS Studios International and Verizon Go90, headed up Betfair’s US horserace wagering business, and led the launch of FOX Soccer 2 Go and NBA International League Pass.

Alex Beckman

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Alex Beckman is a media technology professional who lives in Silicon Valley. In 2014, Alex co-founded GameOn Technology, a chat bot network platform focused on building highly engaging fan experiences for companies like Sports Illustrated and Sky Sports. He was the founding CEO of EVNTLIVE, a video streaming platform that was acquired by Yahoo! in late 2013.

Brian Lee

Head of Digital Distribution & Partnerships

As Inverleigh Media’s Head of Digital Distribution & Partnerships, Brian is avidly passionate in digital media and its transformation on the sports industry. Under his strategic focus on distributing the company’s sports programming to global streaming services, Inverleigh has built partnerships around the world with DAZN, Amazon, Huawei, Tencent, iflix, FloSports and Pluto TV. Prior to his current role, he worked with major Hollywood studios such as Walt Disney and Warner Bros. to launch one of the first premium SVOD services in Taiwan.

Fernando Garcia Calvo

Director, Huawei Video Business

Fernando is a passionate person around TV evolution. Being a Telecommunications Engineer, joined Telefonica R&D Labs in 1995. As the Manager for the innovation in the Video and Smart Home, in 2008 he created the first OTT VoD product that was launched in Spain, Argentina and Brazil. In 2009, he joined the Global Video Unit becoming the global responsible of Product definition and Strategy for OTT Video. Until 2017, he has been covering the entire value chain as Head of Marketing for Latam region (for IPTV, DTH, CATV and OTT services), Video Business Intelligence, Business Development (partnerships with OTT players, content partners…) and finally Head of TV Products for Latam. In that role, he applied designed the next generation TV UX, aggregating different content and Video services. In May 2017 he has joined Huawei as Director for Video Business in Europe working for strategic projects and consumer division.

Ged Mahony

Head of Broadcast & Content

Ged is the Head of Broadcast and Content for New Zealand Rugby where he leads the content and digital teams, including the negotiation and sale of the broadcast distribution rights.

He was an Executive Producer on the recent Amazon Prime series All of Nothing: New Zealand All Blacks, telling the story of the All Blacks rugby team to a global audience.

Prior to his current role at NZ Rugby, Ged has held leadership positions with Viacom in the UK and Mediaworks NZ.

Ged lives in Auckland with his wife and two children.

Joe Carr

Chief Strategy Officer & Head of International

World Surf League (WSL) announced the appointment of Joseph Carr as the Chief Strategy Officer and Head of International for the organisation in 2017. In partnership with the senior management team, he will be responsible for overseeing the League’s strategy, corporate development, and the execution of international operations, sales, events, and athlete development.

Carr joins the WSL from UFC where he served as a Senior Vice President and Head of International and Content where he managed the organization’s global strategy, operations and media business. In his new role at the WSL, Carr will lead the strategy and execution of the League’s international business and spearhead further integration with the Kelly Slater Wave Co.

Sportsfix is a live and on Demand OTT platform targeted towards the new generation of sports fans which heavily consume content on their mobile devices.

As Twitter’s Head of Sports Partnerships for SEA and Greater China, Maurizio grows conversations, communities, and revenue opportunities for Twitter’s sports partners by creating a lineup of programs to satisfy content-hungry audiences in South East Asia.

A successful entrepreneur with a lifelong interest in tech, sport and media, Maurizio has previously held senior roles at the Mediapartners Group with Infront Italy, and Samsung Asia.

Sam Li

Head of International Business Strategy

Sam Li is the Head of Content Acquisition and Strategic Partnerships for Sina Sports where he is responsible for domestic and international sports rights acquisition; strategic partnerships with rights holders, teams and individual athletes; and international sponsorships and marketing.  He was previously an Associate Vice President with the National Basketball Association.  Sam has a Juris Doctor degree from University of Michigan Law School and dual bachelor degrees from University of California, Los Angeles.

Sheila Rasu

As Vice President, Marketing & Communications, NBA Asia, Sheila Rasu is responsible for the overall marketing, public relations and social media efforts for the NBA across Asia-Pacific.

Rasu has more than 18 years of experience in public relations and marketing.  Prior to joining NBA Asia in May 2011, Rasu served as Senior Vice President of Fleishman-Hillard in Singapore, where she oversaw its consumer and healthcare practice and spearheaded various large-scale regional campaigns.  Prior to that, Rasu held positions with Fulford PR and Mission Hills Group.

Throughout her career, Rasu has received a variety of professional distinctions including being named to Marketing Magazine’s ‘Rising Personalities under 35’ list, Top 50 Asia Women Leaders and earning Marketing Magazine’s ‘2010 Digital Campaign of the year award’.

Rasu earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s degree in economics from the University of Southern California. She resides in Hong Kong with her husband Kenny and two rescue dogs.

Simon Trudelle

Simon drives various market development and product marketing activities for NAGRA, the world’s leading independent provider of content protection and multiscreen television solutions designed to connect people to the content they love. His areas of focus include next generation cloud, IP, data and analytics driven TV solutions.

In addition, Simon spearheads the Pay-TV Innovation Forum, a global industry research program developed by NAGRA for senior pay-TV executives which explores the innovations and strategies that will drive the next phases of growth for pay-TV service providers.

Simon has more than 20 years of international software industry experience in strategic and corporate marketing, product management, consulting and new product launches. He holds an MBA in Marketing from McGill University and is a Canadian professional engineer. A seasoned industry speaker, Simon has spent most of his career in Europe, working for international large organizations as well as startups.

Unmish Parthasarathi

Picture Board is headquartered in Singapore with a client roster that includes sports federations such as the ICC (International Cricket Council) and the BWF (Badminton World federations); event promoters such as ONE (One Fight Championship) and GESC (Global Electronic Sports Championship); entertainment brands such as the Asian Food Channel (AFC) and Shemaroo Entertainment; and, technology firms such as Blippar and Dolby Laboratories, Inc.

Victor is one of the few people that have been fortunate enough to put several notches of international sporting experience and marketing communications on his belt. He is thrilled and proud to have played a part in the commonwealth Games in Malaysia, World Championships in Spain and Edmonton the Sydney Olympics, PGA Tour Bell Canadian Open Championship etc. and created a series of 12 Martial Combat MMA events.

Guy Port

Head of APAC

Guy Port is the Head of APAC for WSC Sports, responsible for commercial operations in the region. He was the Managing Director Asia for Nielsen Sports and has over 15 years of experience working across the global sports business industry. During this time with Nielsen Sports (Repucom) he worked across various roles for the leader in sports research, managing their operations in North America, Australia, and Asia. Guy’s focus has been providing insights and strategic guidance to the leading Leagues, Teams, Sponsors, Media, and sport business brands around the world. Guy is based in Sydney, Australia.

Chrystophe Clement

Principal Architect, APAC

Chrystophe Clement serves as Principal Architect of NAGRA APAC and joined in 1997, initially as System Engineer. He has then managed the services for the Americas and EMEA region. After more than 5 years of services and deployment experience, he moved to the R&D as Deputy Vice-President. Chrystophe Clement has been a major contributor to the launch of the latest generation of Conditional Access Product (Nagra Media Access).
