Kevin Chang

Senior Vice President, APAC

With over 13 years of experience in the industry, Kevin has represented two the world’s premier sports organizations looking to expand in Asia. He is currently Vice President with UFC Asia responsible for all areas of the business including content distribution, strategic partnerships, marketing and events. He was formerly the Director of International Media for the NFL where he received the Commissioner’s Award for his contribution towards establishing the first live centralized multi-platform distribution model for Monday Night Football in China. Throughout his career, Kevin has maintained a successful track record of creating demand, maximizing value and positioning for sustainable growth.

Reed began his tech career in the special effects industry, but then the first Internet bubble divereted his attention to streaming media and development.  He has worked in technology for over 20 years. His experience spans start-ups to global companies like True, Qwest, KPN, PCCW, LVMH, IMG, and Intuit.

Jennifer Batty

Chief Content Officer

Jennifer Batty is the Chief Content Officer of HOOQ, Southeast Asia’s leading OTT service. She leads HOOQ’s local, regional and Hollywood content acquisition, programming, viewership and engagement strategies and drives original productions across their diverse markets.

Prior to HOOQ, she was Executive Vice President at RTL CBS Asia, where she made significant contributions in RTL Group’s expansion into India and its joint venture with CBS Studios International, launching RTL CBS Entertainment and RTL CBS Extreme.

Jennifer has a career that spans two decades across North America, Asia and Europe. She holds an MBA from the University of New South Wales.

Alena Lai

Head of APAC Media Strategy

Alena Lai is the Head of APAC Media Strategy & Partner Solutions on the Media Partnerships team. The Media Partnerships team manages strategic relationships with key media partners across Entertainment, News and Sports verticals. Alena and her team focus on creating business and partner impact through data and product expertise.

Prior to Facebook, Alena has been in diverse industries and roles, including management consulting at Boston Consulting Group, industry development at Singapore Economic Development Board, talent management at DBS Bank etc.

Alena graduated from Stanford University with a Masters of Science in Management Science and Engineering, and from Cornell University with a Bachelors of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Melissa Soobratty

Vice President, Media

Melissa Soobratty is Vice President, Media at DDMC Fortis, the exclusive agency for the Asian Football Confederation.  Originally from London and based in Singapore for 9 years, she has a background of over 19 years’ combined experience across sport broadcast and digital, having previously worked for such companies as NeuLion, StarHub, Setanta Sports, Fox Sports International and BBC Worldwide.

Ivan Codina

Managing Director, SEA, Australia, Japan and South Korea

Ivan is an ambitious and talented sports management expert with a Masters in Sports Management from The Johan Cruyff Institute, and is a double degree holder of Business Administration and Sports Management from Ramón Llull, a prestigious university in Spain. He has over 15 years of experience in the Sports Industry, with the past 9 years being in Asia. He has succeeded in different roles in FC Barcelona, Sport SG, and agencies like Dentsu and Red Card, and is currently heading the regional office for SEA, Aus, Japan; S.Korea. His extensive experience also included helping global brands such as Toyota, Panasonic and General Motors navigate the intricacies of sports marketing.

CK Lee

Vice President, Sports Business

Lee Choong Khay or better known as CK, is the Vice President of Sports Business for Astro Malaysia Holdings Bhd, a leading content and consumer group in Asean. CK joined Astro in 1997 and has nearly 20 years of experience in the broadcast industry. He was instrumental in developing Astro SuperSport, which has become one of the top sports channels in Malaysia and the region, as well as launching the first 24-hour sports channel in Malaysia, Astro Arena, whose comprehensive coverage has raised the profile of many Malaysian sports and athletes.

Over the years, Astro has brought prime sport franchises like the FIFA World Cup, UEFA EURO, Premier League, Olympics, F1, Thomas Cup, Commonwealth Games and Asian Games to Malaysian sports fans. Following the latest trend of eSports, Astro launched a dedicated eSports channel, eGG Network on Astro TV, AOTG and Tribe in June 2016.

As APAC Head of Business Development, Media and Entertainment, at AWS, Shweta works closely with media organisations on their strategy to leverage cloud for their most critical workloads. Having worked in media industry for two decades in leadership roles across technology and new business initiatives, Shweta has a deep understanding of the challenges as well as the innovation which the industry thrives on.


Michael D’Oliveiro

Commercial Director, OTT APAC

Michael has over 20 years of experience in APAC and Australia in broadcast and OTT. Starting with the client-side, he has taken on content operations and senior VOD/OTT product management roles in companies like Media Prima and Astro (in Malaysia), before moving to Aussie-telco Telstra to manage its international B2B media portfolio. Michael later joined Singtel, where he served as HOOQ Singapore’s Country Head, managing strategic partnerships and P&L responsibilities. He blends his frontline customer insights with a passion for account management and new business development in the region. A published author, he also enjoys writing, researching and speaking about trends in OTT, particularly in Asia. His sports passion includes the 3As: Arsenal, AC Milan and Aussie Rules football.

Kevin Sim

Head of APAC

Kevin Sim was appointed as the Head of Asia Pacific for Bundesliga International in February 2018. In his role, Kevin will focus on developing Bundesliga’s strategy for Asia with the goal of maximizing Bundesliga’s presence in the region, and driving reach and engagement for Germany’s professional soccer league. Kevin Sim was previously Director of Global Media Rights at mixed martial arts promoter, ONE Championship.

Les Wigan

Les Wigan is the founding Chief Operating Officer of Kayo Sports.   He has accountability for Product and Content, Technology, Streaming Operations, eCommerce and Customer Care, as well as Data and Insights.

Previously, Les was a Director at Fox Sports where he had accountability for Digital, Technology, Broadcast Operations, and The Sports Statistics Business.  Prior to this he held the role of Director of Digital and Commercial Development at News Ltd, where he was responsible for managing news’ digital businesses across the group.  Before joining News Ltd Australia in 2006, Les held a number of roles at British Pay TV operator BSkyB.

As Chief Strategy Officer, Richard is responsible for the global business strategy and commercial success of RugbyPass’ OTT subscription platform, along with the development of a network of rugby fan sites, social media channels and original written and video content. Richard’s 14+ years in digital marketing and online video has also included stints at Publicis, Google, YouTube and Rightster.
